Hello, welcome to Garrett Layout: This is an HO Scale layout, and it's one of the family's hobbies. The layout is set in a fictional place called Garrettville. We Run both DC and DCC. We have a closed Track, and multiple staging yards. We currently use the Bachmann Command Center, nine DCC channels and a single channel for a DC Locomotive.
A beginning, The story of Garrett Mine and Township, starts in 1920. Jeb Garrett founded the mine and by September 1920 the legalities were signed and the mining began. The Mine and Township, are fictional but it's location is set somewhere near Manchester N.H. The mine of course mines granite, primarily crushed granite. There is a railcar hopper and a dump truck loader.

Other companies include a refrigeration plant, plastic plant, and a salvage yard. We also have a small town on the layout. We call the town: Garrettville Township. There is a Police Station, Fire Station, some commercial stores, and more.
We use names of family members for names of the building and companies. Such as: First Grace Church of Garrettville, Grace is our granddaughters name. This story will grow as the Layout grows. I hope you enjoy the Layout, the videos, and this website.
